(Central News Agency reporter Chang Chien, Hong Kong, 29th) It was discovered today that the profile of the director of China's National Financial Regulatory Administration on its official website has been deleted. Ming Pao reported that Li Yunze was dismissed yesterday.
Online information shows that the 'Directors of the Administration' section of the National Financial Regulatory Administration's official website currently indeed lacks the director's profile, showing only the names and photos of three deputy directors and the head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group.
The report quoted sources as saying that Li Yunze was removed from his position as director of China's National Financial Regulatory Administration yesterday.
According to reports, Li Yunze was the first director of the National Financial Regulatory Administration. He is 55 years old and was the first 'post-70s' (born between 1970 and 1979) official at the ministerial level. He is from Yantai, Shandong, graduated from Tianjin University with a Ph.D. in Economics, and worked at China Construction Bank for over 20 years, serving as Vice President of the Tianjin branch, General Manager of the Head Office's Planning and Finance Department, and President of the Chongqing branch.
In 2016, Li Yunze transferred to Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as Vice President. In 2018, he became Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, and later was promoted to Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor.
