Representatives from the Okinawa Prefectural Governor's Office and the Ishigaki City Fire Department visited the Taichung City Fire Bureau this afternoon to tour the Command and Control Center and learn about online dispatching and regional operational flows. The two sides exchanged experiences on disaster prevention and response systems. The Taichung City Fire Bureau issued a press release today stating that Masahiro Teruya, Deputy Counselor of the Fire and Disaster Prevention Countermeasures Division of the Okinawa Governor's Office; Yukihiro Matsuda, Section Chief of the Guard Division of the Ishigaki City Fire Department; Osamu Ashimine, Director of the Taipei Office of the Okinawa Industry Promotion Public Corporation; and Vice Director Chiang Yi-hsin visited the bureau. They were invited by the National Fire Agency of the Ministry of the Interior to participate in a seminar held at the Zhushan Training Center. During the visit, both sides engaged in discussions regarding practical disaster management. The Japanese officials toured the Command and Control Center to understand how emergency calls are handled and the processes for online dispatching and personnel deployment. Fire Bureau Chief Sun Fu-yu stated that disaster prevention is a shared mission without borders, and they will continue to deepen international cooperation to build a safer and more resilient city.
