(Central News Agency, Penghu County, 28th) This morning, over NT$70,000 in cash was scattered on the road in front of a convenience store on County Road 201 in Suogang, Penghu. A passing motorcyclist, Mr. Huang, picked up all the banknotes one by one and handed them over to the police for the owner to claim. After reviewing roadside surveillance footage, the police have contacted a man who is likely the owner.

A 43-year-old man surnamed Huang from Penghu was riding his motorcycle today and passed the section in front of a convenience store in Suogang. He discovered a large number of thousand- and hundred-dollar banknotes scattered on the road. Concerned about traffic safety and the owner's anxiety, he stopped and picked up all the cash, then promptly delivered it to the Suogang Police Station for police handling.

After the Magong Suogang Police Station received and inventoried the money, Mr. Huang had found a total of over NT$70,000 in cash. As this road section is a major thoroughfare connecting Shili and Fenggui, the police used the roadside surveillance system to identify a man who might be the owner.

The police stated that this man was traveling from Magong to Sanshui today, and accidentally dropped over NT$70,000 from the NT$100,000 he was carrying. He is expected to go to the police station around noon to retrieve the lost money. (Editor: Huang Mingxi) 1150428
