A 20-year-old female surnamed Dai, riding a motorcycle behind her, allegedly failed to notice the situation ahead and rear-ended her, causing Ms. Cheng to swerve left, collide with a tour bus, fall, and then be run over, dying on the spot.
The Fourth Precinct stated that Ms. Cheng was from the 2022 police special examination class and was assigned to the Fourth Precinct in 2024. She had been a police officer for about two years and was currently serving at the Yiping Police Station.
