(Central News Agency, Reporter Hsiao Po-yang, Nantou County, 28th) Nantou County Government promotes digital education, procuring 14,213 tablets in the past three years. Coupled with previous central government subsidies, the county today achieved its "one tablet per student and teacher" policy goal, ensuring every elementary and junior high school teacher and student in the county has a dedicated digital learning tablet.

Nantou County Magistrate Hsu Shu-hua and Nantou County Government Education Department Director Wang Shu-ling announced the full achievement of the county's "one tablet per student and teacher" policy this afternoon at Zhangxing Elementary School in Nantou City. Hsu Shu-hua said that after three years of effort, every elementary and junior high school teacher and student in the county now has a dedicated digital learning tablet, truly implementing the goals of digital equity and smart education. She also thanked the Education Department, school principals, and frontline teachers for their efforts.

Hsu Shu-hua stated that the policies of "one large screen per class, one device per teacher, and one tablet per student" have been achieved this year. Since taking office, she has actively invested educational resources, hoping to narrow the urban-rural gap through digital learning. Although the Ministry of Education promotes digital learning, some schools, due to resource limitations, previously had situations where six students shared one tablet. Therefore, the county government promoted the construction of digital equipment in phases.

Hsu Shu-hua stated that the county government prioritized completing "one large screen per class" and equipping teachers with teaching devices, and then, through a three-year, NT$190 million plan, officially achieved the "one tablet per student and teacher" goal this year. In addition, to strengthen equipment management, in addition to establishing a backend management system in each school to prevent students from downloading non-learning software such as games, each class is also equipped with a charging cart for centralized management.

Nantou County Education Department stated that the county government purchased 14,213 learning tablets over three years. Coupled with previous central government subsidies, the Nantou County Education Network Center currently manages approximately 42,000 tablets in total. The county government will continue to refine the digital education environment, enhance student learning effectiveness and teacher-student interaction through technology-assisted teaching, and promote the development of Nantou education towards intelligence and balance.
