(Central News Agency reporter Yang Yao-ju, Taipei, April 28) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Bureau of Consular Affairs will hold its first mobile consular service in Dongyin Township Household Registration Office on May 7th, accepting applications for passport renewal and reissuance, as well as various passport endorsements and transfers, without limiting the number of applications.

The Bureau of Consular Affairs announced that to enhance services for residents of outlying islands, the bureau will conduct mobile consular services in Matsu. In coordination with the Lienchiang County Government's arrangements, the service will extend to Dongyin for the first time. The service will be available on May 7th from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dongyin Township Household Registration Office, and on May 8th from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Nangan Household Registration Office.

The Bureau of Consular Affairs explained that the services include accepting applications for passport renewal and reissuance (expedited services are not available; first-time applicants should use the one-stop service at household registration offices) and various passport endorsements and transfers, with no limit on the number of applications. Passport application forms can be obtained from the Dongyin and Nangan Township Household Registration Offices. Residents of the Matsu area are encouraged to utilize this convenient service.
