Fortunately, other onlookers joined forces to subdue the man and called the police, who arrested him and sent him for prosecution.

The Luzhou Precinct of the New Taipei City Police Department stated in a message that the student was returning home from school around 4 p.m. when she was followed by the man surnamed You. She called her grandmother for help, and her grandmother came downstairs to wait at the community entrance and tried to stop him, but was assaulted by the man surnamed You.

Police said that the village chief, surnamed Guo, saw what was happening nearby and intervened, also being beaten by the man surnamed You. Fortunately, after other eyewitnesses intervened and subdued the man, they called the police. Officers immediately arrived at the scene, handcuffed and arrested the man, taking him back to the police station for questioning.

Police stated that the two victims were injured and sent to the hospital for treatment. After questioning, the man surnamed You was transferred to the prosecutor's office for investigation on suspicion of serious injury, assault, and stalking, and the police requested preventive detention and security disposition. Additionally, regarding the Stalking Harassment Prevention Act, the police will issue a written warning to the man and assist the victims in applying for protection orders.
