(Central News Agency reporter Lü Jiarong, Beijing, 28th) LetsVPN, a VPN software known for being 'always accessible,' announced today that it would cease operations targeting mainland China. This decision was made because, despite extensive efforts over the past 20 days, the company could not find an effective solution to connection problems due to the continuous impact of the internet blockade.

In mid-April this year, LetsVPN users in mainland China experienced difficulties accessing the internet, preventing them from receiving information from 'outside the wall.'

LetsVPN announced today, 'We regret to inform you of a difficult decision; we have to terminate our business operations in mainland China.'

LetsVPN further stated that due to the continuous impact of the internet blockade, their technical team had been attempting and adjusting almost every hour over the past 20 days. However, unfortunately, after numerous efforts, they have confirmed that they cannot effectively resolve the connection issues.

The announcement concluded by emphasizing that they would protect the rights of every user and assist with refunds. They are currently working hard to develop an automated refund system to shorten user waiting times.

LetsVPN had previously issued a 'Network Fluctuation Notice' in its message center, stating that due to 'force majeure factors,' some users might experience significant disruptions to their network experience. They expressed deep apologies for this, adding that their technical team was working diligently and stated, 'We will never abandon our users. Whether you choose to wait or temporarily leave, we will be responsible for your rights until the very end.'

Recently, the smooth use of VPN software in mainland China has become a common topic among many foreigners working there. Besides LetsVPN, it is understood that other VPN software has also been significantly affected. (Editor: Qiu Guojiang) 1150428
