(Central News Agency reporter Tai Ya-chen, Tokyo, 28th) In the case of an 11-year-old boy's death in Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, more than 10 days have passed since the boy's stepfather, Yuki Adachi, was arrested. Police today brought him back to a public toilet, believed to be related to the body's disposal, and its surrounding areas for scene identification to further clarify the case.

NHK and Kyoto Shimbun reported that according to investigations, 37-year-old Yuki Adachi is suspected of transporting the boy's body and abandoning it in a mountain forest in Sonobe-cho, Nantan City, between the morning of March 23 and the evening of April 13. Police stated that Adachi has admitted to the related allegations.

Investigators revealed that the boy was confirmed to be alive on the morning of March 23. Adachi confessed during questioning before his arrest that on that day, after dropping the child off at Sonobe Elementary School, he took him to a certain location in the city and strangled him to death.

Police suspect that before finally abandoning the body in the mountain forest, Adachi had moved the body between multiple locations, including a public toilet, where a scene investigation had previously been conducted. In addition, the boy's belongings have been successively found during the search. On March 29, relatives found a yellow backpack in a mountainous area about 3 kilometers from Sonobe Elementary School. On April 12, black shoes believed to be worn by the boy were found in the mountains about 6 kilometers from the elementary school.

Around 9 AM, an investigative vehicle, presumably carrying Adachi, departed from the Nantan Police Station, heading to the mountainous area near the mountain road where the backpack was found, and the public toilet where the body was possibly temporarily abandoned. Investigators pointed out that the police are conducting verification work based on the current confession, with the suspect present. (Edited by Tang Pei-chun) 1150428
