Kaohsiung Primary School Investigated Following Bullying and Knife Incident

An incident of campus violence at a primary school in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung, has drawn public attention after a parent alleged that their child was assaulted with a basketball, causing a concussion, and threatened with a utility knife by a classmate. The Kaohsiung Education Bureau confirmed that the school has initiated an investigation and provided counseling to the students involved. The school clarified that while a student did bring out a utility knife, initial findings suggest it was for lending to another student, though separate allegations of verbal bullying are being probed. Regarding the parent's request for CCTV footage, the school explained that while parents can view it, copying the video is restricted by child protection laws.
