Agence France-Presse reported that this order from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission will affect ABC's parent company, Disney, and its television subsidiaries.

The move stems from the dissatisfaction of Trump and Melania Trump, who accused Jimmy Kimmel's jokes on his show of inciting violence and demanded its suspension. Just days after the demand, Trump experienced an assassination attempt.

Trump stated that Jimmy Kimmel should be fired because he jokingly referred to Melania as a "widow."

On his show on the 23rd, Jimmy Kimmel mocked U.S. First Lady Melania for exuding a "quasi-widow's glow." Kimmel explained that this was just a slight tease directed at the nearly 80-year-old Trump and Melania, who is much younger than him (Trump is 79, Melania is 56).
