A jewelry store located on Zhongzheng Road in Luodong Town, Yilan County, was robbed at approximately 5:30 PM today, losing a gold ring valued at around 56,000 TWD. Upon receiving the report, police arrested a suspect surnamed Wu at approximately 6:00 PM. The case is currently under further investigation.

According to reports, the suspect, Wu, entered the jewelry store under the pretense of shopping for gold jewelry. He reportedly ran out of the store after trying on a gold ring, escaped on a motorcycle, and immediately liquidated the stolen item for cash.

The Luodong Police Division stated that after receiving the report, they tracked down leads and collaborated with the Yilan Police Division to apprehend Wu in Yilan City at 6:00 PM. The police will further investigate Wu's motives for the crime.
