(Central News Agency reporter Chang Chien-chung, Hsinchu, 28th) ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design house Global Unichip expects its Q2 revenue to increase by 7% to 9% quarter-on-quarter, with IP (intellectual property) and mass production business performance expected to grow, while NRE (non-recurring engineering) business will decrease.

Global Unichip held an online investor conference to announce its Q1 operating results. Global Unichip's Q1 revenue was NTD 2.589 billion, a 7.8% decrease quarter-on-quarter. IP business remained flat compared to Q4 2025, NRE business decreased by 42% quarter-on-quarter, and mass production business increased by 12% quarter-on-quarter.

With the revenue structure returning to health, Global Unichip's Q1 gross margin recovered to 47.3%, reaching a 13-quarter high. Net profit attributable to the parent company was NTD 104 million, a 49.8% decrease quarter-on-quarter, with EPS of NTD 0.4.

Looking ahead, Global Unichip expects Q2 revenue to increase by 7% to 9% quarter-on-quarter. IP and mass production business performance is expected to grow, while NRE business will decrease. Q2 gross margin will be approximately 45%.
