Fubon Guardians' rookie catcher Zhang Yu-hao has recently been training with the team's first squad. Manager Mitsutaka Goto stated that the primary goal is for Zhang to observe and get accustomed to the first-team atmosphere, with his stay expected to last until April 30. Zhang has realized the critical importance of defensive details and is using a notebook to reinforce the advice he receives from coaches.

Zhang, the Guardians' first-round pick from last year's draft, began his first-team stint on the 25th. Manager Goto believes that Zhang still has much to learn in both hitting and defense. By having him with the first team, the coaching staff hopes he can experience the environment firsthand.

According to Goto, this first-team experience is a planned collaboration with the minor league coaching staff. When games are scheduled in the minor leagues, Zhang will return to play and maintain his form. However, during periods without scheduled games, he will follow the first team as an observer to learn from a higher perspective.
