Taipei, April 28 (CNA) The Ministry of National Defense (MND) released updates on Chinese military movements today, stating that from 6 a.m. yesterday to 6 a.m. today, it detected 9 Chinese naval vessels and 22 Chinese military aircraft. Among them, 20 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered the northern and southwestern airspaces, continuing activities around Taiwan.
Furthermore, the MND released images of monitored Chinese vessels last night. Military sources pointed out that a formation including Luyang II-class destroyers and Jiangkai II-class frigates entered the waters southwest of Penghu yesterday.
The MND emphasized that the military is utilizing mission aircraft, naval vessels, and shore-based missile systems to strictly monitor and respond to the situation.
