Taipei, April 27 (CNA) Major electrical machinery manufacturer TECO will hold its shareholders' meeting on May 28. Chairman Lee Ming-Hsian stated in his business report to shareholders that, through a strategic stock swap alliance with Hon Hai, they have achieved deep cooperation and successfully secured orders for Hon Hai's new factories both domestically and internationally. A dedicated task force has also been established to jointly promote modular data center solutions.
Lee Ming-Hsian also mentioned that this year, products such as transformers, modular data centers, and heavy electrical products continue to penetrate the AI data center construction and industrial infrastructure supply chains in North America, Southeast Asia, and other regions.
Looking ahead to this year's operations, Lee Ming-Hsian stated that despite the persistent risks of global trade fragmentation, the productivity dividends of artificial intelligence (AI) and the electrification wave continue. TECO will transform into a global energy and smart factory solution provider, with its core strategy being the "OneTECO" deep integration approach.
Regarding electrification projects, Lee Ming-Hsian pointed out that these include new transformer production lines in Taiwan and the design and development of 1.5 MW Power Conditioning Systems (PCS), as well as the busbar factory in Penang, Malaysia. These are expected to commence mass production this year. They will also introduce transformers, modular data centers, and heavy electrical products into the AI data center construction and industrial infrastructure supply chains in North America and Southeast Asia. Furthermore, a branch office has been established in the Middle East to enter the oil and gas energy system.
For intelligentization projects, Lee Ming-Hsian stated that TECO continues to develop enterprise-level Energy Management Systems (EMS) and smart factory platforms, combining AI and IoT technologies to transform hardware advantages into high value-added data-driven services.
In green energy projects, Lee Ming-Hsian noted that the ESCO deep energy-saving services will be upgraded to a "one-stop smart green factory solution," actively participating in smart grid and energy storage projects, and expanding its influence in the offshore wind power and green electricity trading markets.
Regarding cooperation with Hon Hai, TECO stated that in 2025, they formed a strategic alliance with the Hon Hai Group through a stock swap. Both parties have commenced deep collaboration in areas such as data centers, facility electrical energy saving, smart manufacturing, and vehicle electrification. (Editor: Huang Kuo-Lun) 1150427
