(CNA Reporter Wu Rui-chi, Taoyuan, 27th) The Taoyuan Police Station stated today that officers from the Jingfu Police Station were patrolling last night in Taoyuan District when they stopped and ticketed a taxi for making an illegal left turn. Unexpectedly, the driver suddenly lost control of his emotions, blamed the officers for hurting him, and kicked over a police motorcycle. Officers immediately subdued him and referred him for investigation and prosecution according to the law.

Huang Fu-yuan, deputy head of the Jingfu Police Station of the Taoyuan City Police Department's Taoyuan Division, said in a media interview that around 11:35 PM last night, patrolling officers found a man named Yang (51 years old) driving a taxi and making an illegal left turn from Sanmin Road Section 3 into Zhongshan Road, and immediately conducted an interception and crackdown.

Huang Fu-yuan pointed out that during the check, police found Yang had the smell of alcohol on him. After conducting a test, the blood alcohol level was 0.07 mg/L. Officers gently advised Yang that although the test did not exceed the limit, there was an alcoholic reaction and asked him to return home and rest as soon as possible. As for the illegal left turn, a citation was issued for violating the Road Traffic Management and Punishment Act.

Huang said that unexpectedly, Yang suddenly lost control of his emotions, blamed the officers for hurting him, and then kicked the police motorcycle with his foot, causing it to fall and be damaged. Officers immediately subdued him and referred him for prosecution. (Editor: Zhang Ming-kun) 1150427
