(Central News Agency reporter Yang Sze-Jui, Tainan 27th) Tainan City Government, in cooperation with hospitality businesses, will launch a weekday "Tainan Good Deal Triple Offer" accommodation campaign starting May 1. The campaign includes offers such as "Stay 1 Night, Get 1 Night Free," "Stay 3 Nights, Get the 3rd Night Free," consumer rewards, and a chance to participate in prize draws.
Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-Che said at the press conference for the event this afternoon that according to statistical data, Tainan's hospitality market has continued to grow in recent years. Even with an increase of nearly 5,000 hotel rooms, the hotel occupancy rate has still risen by about 13%, and the homestay occupancy rate has also significantly improved.
He added that approximately 590,000 overseas visitors came to Tainan last year, an increase of about 100,000 compared to previous years, indicating that Tainan's tourism appeal continues to rise. The influx of tourists has also driven shopping and consumption, injecting vitality into the overall tourism output value while visitors enjoy the city's charm.
Huang Wei-Che pointed out that May and June are traditionally off-peak travel seasons. The city government specifically collaborated with hospitality businesses to launch various weekday-limited offers, allowing travelers to experience Tainan's cuisine, culture, and lifestyle in a more affordable way. He hopes everyone seizes the opportunity to visit Tainan, enjoy a relaxing city trip, and participate in the prize draws to add more fun to their journey.
Lin Kuo-Hua, Director of the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau, stated that this promotional event includes three major benefits, from accommodation discounts to consumer rewards and a prize draw mechanism, allowing travelers to "stay more, save more, play more, and earn more."
He mentioned that regarding accommodation offers, the "Stay 1 Night, Get 1 Night Free, and Upgrade for Continuous Stay" scheme will be launched. In collaboration with over 30 accommodation providers, including Tayih Landis Hotel Tainan, Regent Tainan, and Tainan Hotel, the "Stay 1 Night, Get 1 Night Free" offer will be available from May to June. From May to October, the "Stay 3 Nights, Get the 3rd Night Free" scheme will be provided, and guests staying also have a chance to receive a limited-edition "Kapi Panla Lantern."
Lin Kuo-Hua said that for point redemption, travelers who join the official LINE account (@tainantravels) can receive 500 points (equivalent to NT$500). During the event period, an additional 200 points will be given for each consumption at Deyuanpi, Huluppi, and Hutoupi three major reservoir park areas. These points can be used to offset weekday accommodation fees at 88 partner businesses, with a maximum accommodation reward of NT$1,100.
He also stated that for the prize draw event, anyone who stays at a legal accommodation in Tainan from May to October and registers their invoice can participate in a prize draw worth over NT$1 million in total. Prizes include home appliances, meal vouchers, and agricultural specialty products, with the grand prize being an "all-you-can-eat or all-you-can-stay" package at a star-rated hotel valued at over NT$150,000.
