The cooperation agreement was signed today at Pingtung Christian Hospital. National Sports Training Center CEO Chao Shih-Chiang and Deputy CEO Lin Hua-Wei were both present. This collaboration was facilitated by Wu Wen-Chih, Director of Pingtung Christian Hospital's Health Checkup Center. Wu Wen-Chih was a first-generation national baseball player for Meiho Middle School, representing Taiwan in the World Junior Baseball Championship in the Republic of China's 61st year (1972) and winning the championship. At his father's urging, he put down his bat and picked up books, and with the perseverance of an athlete, he diligently studied to enter the National Defense Medical Center, transitioning from the sports field to the medical professional domain.
Wu Wen-Chih stated that every injury an athlete sustains, if not discovered and properly treated in time, can affect on-field performance and even shorten their athletic career. He hopes that through this collaboration, combining medical expertise and sports training resources, a more complete prevention and care system can be established to protect every athlete fighting for the nation.
