(Central News Agency reporter Chiang Ming-yen, Taipei, 27th) Merchants United Group announced today that it has joined forces with group enterprises and combined with the retail, F&B, technology, logistics, and service industries to establish the "Taiwan New Generation Team Leader Development Association." This association will create a cross-industry talent development platform, responding to the transformation of the service industry and the needs of the new generation, focusing on three major pillars: talent cultivation, industry exchange, and talent matching.
Merchants United Group issued a press release today announcing that it has collaborated with group enterprises such as Merchants United Holdings, Merchants United F&B, and Merchants United Pharmacy, as well as diverse industry partners from retail, F&B, technology, logistics, and service industries, to jointly establish the "Taiwan New Generation Team Leader Development Association (ANGEL LAB)." Chen Hsiang-pin, Chairman of Merchants United F&B and Merchants United Group, serves as the Chairman of the association, and Chiu Kuang-lung, Managing Director of Merchants United Group, serves as the principal of ANGEL School under the association.
The association stated that its establishment focuses on three major pillars: talent cultivation, industry exchange, and talent matching. It will cultivate new-generation leaders through AI-powered systematic courses and professional certification mechanisms; and promote cross-industry co-learning and talent exchange through forums, lectures, corporate visits, and experience sharing.
The association also announced that it plans to hold the first "Retail Hackathon" this year, with the concept of "from seed to table," breaking existing frameworks, connecting supply chain thinking, and discovering new retail talent. In addition, it will introduce AI applications and data integration to help enterprises solve pain points and improve operational efficiency, creating a positive cycle between enterprises and talent.
Chiu Kuang-lung shared at the inaugural meeting that the challenges in the service industry are not only about the quantity of talent but also about the quality of talent and the efficiency of cultivation. Through the association's platform, enterprises can share resources, reduce trial-and-error costs, avoid redundant investments, and allow young talent to learn and grow systematically. The association will assist talent in finding suitable positions through a two-way evaluation and talent matching mechanism, while also improving the efficiency of enterprise talent selection and retention, and accelerating experience replication and shortening the exploration period for enterprise transformation through cross-enterprise exchange and on-site visits.
