Officers immediately arrived at the scene and removed a man who was suspected of being unfamiliar with the roads. He was fined according to the Road Traffic Management and Punishment Act. The incident occurred on the evening of the 26th near the 51km mark of Northbound National Highway 1 in Taoyuan. After investigation, the man (33-year-old Mr. Zhang) accidentally entered the highway. The police emphasized that highways are closed roads where pedestrians are prohibited. They reminded citizens to pay attention to road signs and use the '1968 App' or call 1968 to report if they spot pedestrians on the highway to ensure safety.
