(Central News Agency reporter Hsieh Chun-lin, Taipei, 27th) In the case where Yunyun Technology CEO Zeng Zhixin is suspected of murdering tech director Liang, the Taipei District Court's citizen judge panel today summoned Mrs. Liang to testify. Mrs. Liang stated that she ultimately could not see her husband one last time, but emphasized, "We will live on well, and we will always miss him and love him deeply."
Zeng Zhixin is suspected of stabbing Liang to death with a knife on March 7, 2025, and then injuring himself. The Taipei District Prosecutor's Office indicted Zeng for murder in June last year and transferred the case to the Taipei District Court's citizen judge panel for trial. The Taipei District Court has been intensively hearing this case since April 21 this year, and a verdict is expected to be announced at 2:30 PM on April 30.
During today's hearing, Mrs. Liang was summoned to testify. She recounted that on the day of the incident, she received a call from Yunyun Technology informing her that Liang was injured and asking her to rush to the hospital. On the way, she received another call from the hospital, but the person did not elaborate. It was only when she arrived at the hospital that she understood the situation. At that time, because Liang's condition was critical, the doctor could not allow her to enter, so she was unable to see her husband one last time. Speaking of this, Mrs. Liang choked up.
Mrs. Liang stated that her daughters and relatives subsequently waited at the hospital. She expressed heartache, saying her daughters were very strong and even comforted relatives, saying, "Dad wouldn't want you to be so sad"; but only she knew how much pain this incident caused her daughters. She also mentioned that her youngest daughter suffered from insomnia every day at that time and was completely unable to face the upcoming entrance exams.
Mrs. Liang said that she appears strong in front of outsiders, but there are always many moments when she thinks of her husband, whether passing by places they had been together, or even places they hadn't been, she would think that she could no longer share them with her husband. Mrs. Liang said sadly, "I feel quite independent, but I really miss him."
Mrs. Liang said that afterwards, she and her relatives held a memorial service, attended by about 800 people who came to commemorate her husband. Recalling the situation that day, she felt it was a warm and touching memorial service. That day, someone made bird-shaped badges for Liang, whose nickname was Bird, with the words "Freedom like a bird" engraved on them. Relatives and friends who attended the court hearing today also wore these badges, reminiscing about Liang, who brought so much good into their lives.
At the end of the cross-examination, the public prosecutor asked Mrs. Liang if she had anything else she wanted to say to her husband. After a moment of contemplation, she said, "We will live on well. We and his friends will always miss him and love him deeply."
Prosecutors' investigation revealed that Zeng Zhixin and Liang had repeatedly clashed and developed animosity over work matters. Zeng then bought a chef's knife on February 26 last year and kept it in the company cabinet. Zeng saw Liang publish an article criticizing the company's operations in an internal company group on March 6 of the same year and learned that Liang would resign on the 7th. He invited Liang and HR director Lu to handle the handover of resignation matters in the company conference room on the afternoon of the 7th.
The prosecution stated that on the afternoon of March 7, Zeng concealed the chef's knife in the left chest pocket of his vest before going to the conference room to meet Liang and Lu. After the three discussed whether to withdraw Liang's article, Zeng pretended to leave the conference room, walked behind Liang, and stabbed him at least nine times in the head, back, and neck with the chef's knife. Liang was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on the same day due to a penetrating wound to the upper left lung lobe and multiple muscle injuries resulting in massive bleeding.
