(Central News Agency reporter You Kai-hsiang, Taipei, 27th) The Ministry of National Defense (MND) released monitoring images of Chinese naval vessels tonight, stating that a fleet of Chinese military ships, including a Type 052D Luyang III-class destroyer and a Type 054A Jiangkai II-class frigate, entered the southwestern waters of Penghu today. The Taiwanese military's naval and air forces are maintaining strict surveillance and responding appropriately.
