According to comprehensive reports from mainland media including Xinhua Net, the China Earthquake Networks Center measured a magnitude 6 earthquake in Mongolia (46.85 degrees north latitude, 93.15 degrees east longitude) at 12:23 PM on the 26th, with a focal depth of 15 kilometers.

Reports indicate that tremors were felt in Urumqi City, Qinghe County in Altay Prefecture, and other areas in Xinjiang. Qinghe County in Altay Prefecture received a magnitude 4.9 earthquake alert.
