Technical College Entrance Exams Start in Taiwan: AC Running, Protocols for Earthquakes Set

The 115th academic year's Unified Entrance Examination (TTE) for technical colleges began today with 71,000 examinees. All test centers are equipped with air conditioning (set to 26-28°C), but it's classified as a 'service,' meaning exam times won't be extended if equipment fails. Regarding earthquakes, three principles are set: 'Continue,' 'Shelter,' and 'Evacuate.' Examinees must follow staff instructions. For mobile phones, students are advised to give them to parents or completely power them off to avoid penalties from automatic earthquake alerts. Enrollment numbers hit a record low this year.
