The accident occurred when a sightseeing bus flipped, causing 1 death and 12 injuries.

The SEF stated that a group of more than 30 Taiwanese citizens, led by a Mr. Chen, traveled to mainland China for tourism on the 20th. On the afternoon of the 24th, a sightseeing bus flipped in Gansu. Of the 15 passengers on the vehicle, 1 died and 12 were injured. Currently, 9 injured individuals remain in the hospital for observation.

The SEF noted that upon receiving the report, they immediately contacted the Taipei Travel Agents Association and the Lanzhou Taiwanese Business Association, while maintaining contact with the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) and the Ministry of the Interior to assist in handling follow-up matters.
