Singer Long Qianyu Debuts in Solo Concert with 30kg Dress; Yuan Xiaodi Misses Guest Spot Due to Surgery

Central News Agency (Reporter: Wang Hsin-yu, Taichung, 25th) Singer Long Qianyu, who has been in show business for 48 years, held her first solo concert 'Man's Passion, Woman's Heart' tonight at Huisun Hall in Taichung. She opened with 'Time Lady' wearing a 30kg dress adorned with white feathers. Yuan Xiaodi, who was originally set to be a guest, missed the stage due to surgery.

Tonight's concert attracted 4,000 fans, including many from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Japan, and even Europe and the US. Fellow singers like Chang Hsiu-ching, Lin Shan, Chen Sui-yi, Hsieh Yi-chun, Chen Szu-an, and Tsai Chiu-feng all showed up to support her.

Speaking before the concert, Long Qianyu mentioned that she stayed silent for two hours before the show and took throat remedies. She admitted to some insomnia last night due to excitement and nerves, comparing the feeling to being pregnant for 10 months and finally giving birth. Her biggest worry was uncontrolled tears on stage.

The organizer revealed that singer Yuan Xiaodi was supposed to be a special guest, but he couldn't perform because of throat surgery. He still sent flowers to wish her success. Yuan is recovering well and expressed regret over his absence. Long Qianyu expressed her sympathy, saying health is the top priority: 'I wish him a speedy recovery. Life is full of changes; we must learn to handle curveballs and face them with grace!'
