The STUF United Fund hosted the 'Female Leadership and Global Health Forum' today, focusing on how Taiwan's gender equality systems offer significant value for international sharing. The foundation also announced its upcoming participation in a side event of the World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva on May 19 to deepen its engagement in global public health and gender issues. Chang Yu-feng, Chief Judge of the Taipei High Administrative Court, shared that Taiwan has not only established gender equality systems but has also seen female judges reach 52% in 2024. However, she also noted the mental health challenges faced by female judicial personnel. Shih Ping-hui from Soroptimist International of Taiwan emphasized that these advancements should be shared globally through diplomacy. Hu Yu-chun from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that Taiwan's medical strength and gender equality are 'twin engines' for its international participation. Chiang Kuan-yu from STUF stated the WHA side event will focus on AI in health systems and Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
