(Central News Agency reporter Huang Chiao-wen, Taipei, 25th) With Mother's Day approaching, major catering brands have launched special projects or upgraded menus, and some businesses have added dining shifts to seize Mother's Day business opportunities. Some well-known restaurants are already fully booked for the day, while some buffet brands only have seats left for lunch.

Mother's Day has always been one of the important dining periods for the catering industry in the first half of the year, besides the Lunar New Year. The Xiang Bin Group, which owns 12 catering brands, has a brand layout across two major catering types: "buffet" and "à la carte". According to industry statistics, Xiang A Joy is fully booked for Mother's Day. Its buffet brands Xiang Xiang, Xu Ji, URBAN PARADISE, Guo Ran Hui, and Xiang Shi Tian Tang are all fully booked for Mother's Day lunch and dinner, with afternoon tea about 80% full, and are expected to be fully booked for the entire week.

Among them, Xiang Shi Tian Tang will adjust special holiday meal prices and upgrade menus from May 2 to 3 and May 9 to 10, adding seared scallops with asparagus sauce, snow crab legs, and charcoal-grilled beef short ribs.

The hotel catering market is also performing well. The Le Méridien Taipei indicated that reservations for the Explorer Kitchen on Mother's Day weekend in May are all full, and reservations for the first weekend are also nearly full, with only a few seats remaining.

Operators pointed out that the Explorer Kitchen will launch three Mother's Day limited dining shifts on May 9 and May 10, with two lunch shifts and one dinner shift. The buffet includes a variety of seafood, such as Huadiao wine steamed king crab and spring bamboo shoot abalone crab roe porridge.

Kai Zhan Catering Group stated that reservations for its TGI FRIDAYS and Texas Roadhouse Steak restaurants are about 60% full, and they have launched various sharing sets to meet the needs from small parent-child gatherings to family dinners. As for SALT&STONE, which focuses on a "New American Cuisine" style inspired by California, reservations are close to 90% full. (Editor: Li Heng-shan) 1150425
