Moisture Decreasing from April 26 with Clear Skies; Front Expected to Bring Showers on April 29

According to the Central Weather Administration (CWA), moisture will decrease from tomorrow through Monday daytime (April 27), resulting in clear to cloudy skies across most regions. Only the eastern part and the Hengchun Peninsula might see scattered showers. A front is expected to pass through on April 29 and 30, bringing brief showers to various locations. Weather will recover on Labor Day (May 1) as moisture decreases again.

CWA forecaster Chang Cheng-chuan stated today that tomorrow marks the beginning of reduced moisture and a shift to sunny or cloudy weather, with only minimal rain in eastern regions and scattered afternoon showers in western mountainous areas. Monday's pattern will be similar, while Tuesday (April 28) will see slightly more moisture in the east. On Wednesday (April 29) and Thursday (April 30), a combination of the front and eastern-moving clouds from China will lead to widespread showers or thunderstorms across the island.

Regarding temperatures, Chang noted that tomorrow morning will remain cool (18-19°C in the north), but daytime highs will rise significantly to 25-32°C. From Monday, temperatures will climb further, with highs reaching 33°C in the west. A brief cooling period will occur on Thursday as the front passes, before warming up again on May 1.
