(Taipei, April 25, Central News Agency reporter Wu Shu-wei) Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense stated that starting from 1:55 PM today, a total of 21 Chinese military aircraft were successively detected taking off, with 13 of them crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait and its extended lines, entering Taiwan's surrounding airspace. These aircraft coordinated with Chinese warships under the pretext of a 'joint combat readiness patrol' to harass Taiwan's surrounding air and sea areas. The ROC military is closely monitoring the situation using joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets and is responding appropriately.
The Ministry of National Defense issued a press release tonight, stating that from 1:55 PM, they successively detected 21 sorties of various main and auxiliary combat aircraft and drones, including J-10, J-16, and KJ-500, taking off. Among them, 13 sorties crossed the median line and its extended lines, entering Taiwan's northern, central, and southwestern airspace, coordinating with Chinese warships under the guise of a 'joint combat readiness patrol' to harass Taiwan's surrounding air and sea areas.
