CHANGHUA (CNA) — The Dajia Mazu pilgrimage return procession arrived at Changhua City's Tianhou Temple late last night at approximately 11:10 PM. Before the arrival, a pushing incident occurred involving a woman who shoved police officers. The Changhua Police Department stated today that the woman will be investigated for obstruction of official duties. The 9-day, 8-night journey organized by Dajia Jenn Lann Temple began on the 17th and is scheduled to conclude on the 26th. Despite heavy rain, large crowds accompanied the palanquin. Around 10:55 PM at the intersection of Minzu Road and Yongle Street, a scramble broke out. While some participants raised their hands to surrender and left, video footage circulating online showed a woman pushing an officer, leading to her being pinned down. Police confirmed they would summon the woman to the station and follow legal procedures for obstructing public service.
