CTBC Bank stated that they are grateful to the police for subduing the suspect at the first instance, confirming that customers and employees are all safe and there are no financial losses. This incident will not affect the branch's operations, and they will cooperate with the police investigation.

A man surnamed Lin, in his 30s, today afternoon, used a BB gun and a fake hand grenade to rob the CTBC Bank in the East District of Taipei City. Fortunately, alert bank staff immediately reported it to the police, and a large number of police officers arrived at the scene. Lin was subdued, and preliminary police investigation indicated that Lin committed the crime possibly due to financial pressure, with no accomplices.
