The TAIEX opened at 37862.65 points, reached an intraday high of 38989.94 points, and an intraday low of 37862.65 points; the non-financial index closed at 35219.25 points, up 1187.42 points.

Changes in the eight major industry categories: Cement and Ceramics fell 0.9%, Food fell 0.62%, Plastics and Chemicals fell 1.16%, Textiles fell 0.25%, Electromechanical rose 3.99%, Paper fell 0.29%, Construction fell 0.41%, and Financial remained flat.

Bid volume was 24,466,839 shares, ask volume was 15,883,062 shares, and transaction volume was 12,738,052 shares.
