(CNA, Tehran, 24th) Iranian state media confirmed that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to Pakistan today. US media cited sources expecting a second round of talks between the US and Iran. Pakistan has recently been mediating between the US and Iran to end the current Middle East conflict.

After a Pakistani official revealed the matter, the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported: "Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will begin a regional tour on Friday evening, April 24, traveling to Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow." The first two are the capitals of Pakistan and Oman, respectively.

The report stated: "This trip aims to hold bilateral consultations, discuss the current status of regional developments, and review the latest situations related to the wars waged by the US and the Israeli regime against Iran."

CNN reported that a Pakistani government source mentioned Pakistani mediators expect the US and Iran to hold a second round of talks.

The source added that a US logistics and security team has already arrived in Islamabad to assist with the negotiations.
