(CNA Reporter Pan Chih-yi, Taipei, 24th) With the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) relaxing the restrictions on ETFs holding TSMC, foreign investors net bought NT$43.908 billion today. The number one net buy was the active ETF 'Capital Active Technology Innovation' with 37,151 lots, while TSMC ranked 17th in net buys.

The Taiwan stock market surged by 1,218.25 points today, closing at 38,932.4 points, with a trading volume of NT$1.03292 trillion.

The three major institutional investors synchronized their net buys today, totaling NT$54.586 billion. Among them, foreign and mainland Chinese investors net bought NT$43.908 billion, proprietary traders net bought NT$8.878 billion, and investment trusts net bought NT$1.8 billion.
