(Central News Agency, reporter Huang Hsu-sheng, New Taipei, 24th) A fall accident involving two workers occurred today at an MRT construction site on Ren'ai Road in Yonghe District, New Taipei City. The Fire Department stated that after assisting with hoisting, the two male workers who suffered fractures were sent to the hospital; both injured were conscious. The cause of the accident requires further investigation.
The New Taipei City Fire Department issued a brief message stating that at around 10:20 a.m., they received a report that an ambulance was needed at an MRT construction site on Ren'ai Road in Yonghe District.
Preliminary understanding indicates that the workers suspectedly fell from a height of 1.5 meters while moving items at the MRT underground station construction site. Rescue personnel secured the two injured workers with a long backboard and assisted in hoisting them up to be sent to the hospital. The injured suffered a pelvic fracture and a left femur fracture, respectively.
