According to Xinhua News Agency, Wang Xiaohong said that China is willing to work with the UK under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries to deepen practical cooperation in combating economic and financial crime, telecommunications and cyber fraud, illegal immigration activities, and drug-related offenses. He also expressed a desire to enhance coordination of actions within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations and Interpol, strengthen cooperation in law enforcement capacity building and experience exchange, continuously promote the in-depth development of China-UK law enforcement cooperation, and jointly safeguard the well-being of the people of both countries.
According to Chinese sources, Biggar stated his willingness to maintain close communication with China to jointly improve the level of law enforcement cooperation between the two countries.
China-UK relations have warmed after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited China and met with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the end of January this year.
