The Taipei City Department of Building Management mentioned through news materials that if an old apartment building's exterior wall peeling has been reported 3 or more times, it is assessed as a potentially dangerous building. According to the "Taipei City Building Exterior Wall Safety Diagnosis, Inspection and Reporting Regulations," the building owner or apartment management committee is required to complete the inspection and reporting within 6 months.
Therefore, if the building owner or management committee fails to do so by the deadline, a fine of NT$10,000 to NT$50,000 can be imposed, and continuous penalties will be applied each time.
