US-Iran War Key News

(Central News Agency, Atlanta 23rd Comprehensive Foreign Report) CNN reported today that US President Trump stated there is "no timetable" for the conflict with Iran, and he simultaneously dismissed claims that his decisions are influenced by political factors.

In an interview with Fox News host Martha MacCallum, Trump noted that he is under "no time pressure" regarding the arrangement extended yesterday afternoon for a ceasefire, nor for starting a new round of peace talks.

When asked when the war might end, Trump stated he is in no rush to conclude it and there is "no timetable." He had previously said the war would last 4 to 6 weeks, but the US-Iran war has now entered its 7th week.

Trump said: "Some people say I want to end the war quickly considering the midterm elections. That is not true." He added that the administration's goal is to "get a good deal for the American people."

Trump firmly stated that even with the ceasefire extended, the blockade of Iranian ports will continue, though he did not specify when the blockade would end. Furthermore, he is pressuring Tehran to present a comprehensive proposal to facilitate the resumption of peace talks.

CNN reported that as of last night, the US government had received almost no relevant response from Iranian officials. (Compiled by: Qu Xiangping) 1150423
