(CNA Reporter Lu Yen-tzu, Taipei, 23rd) As the May tax season approaches, the National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area, Ministry of Finance, stated today that the public can use multiple channels such as credit cards, electronic payment accounts, and mobile payment tools to pay taxes, with JKO Pay added to the mobile payment tools this year. Additionally, because iPASS MONEY has separated from LINE Pay, the public can use the iPASS MONEY App for tax filing.
The Ministry of Finance held a press conference today for the 114th year (2025) income tax final return. Attendees included Taxation Administration Director-General Sung Hsiu-ling, Fiscal Information Agency Director-General Chang Wen-hsi, and National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area Director-General Weng Pei-yu.
The National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area explained that to make it convenient for taxpayers to pay taxes, the Ministry of Finance will continue to provide diverse payment channels this year. Using the "e-Tax Payment" service can help avoid trips to financial institutions or convenience stores, saving time and offering convenience.
The Bureau stated that for individuals with tax payable upon filing, in addition to paying by cash or check over the counter, they can also use the comprehensive income tax electronic filing and payment system or the online tax payment service website. They can pay using credit cards, chip ATM cards, demand (savings) deposit accounts, electronic payment accounts, mobile payment tools, authorized direct debit, or automated teller machines (ATMs), and can also pay by scanning the QR-Code on the tax bill with their mobile phones.
Weng Pei-yu stated that the number of electronic payment accounts has increased from 6 to 7 this year. In addition to PxPay Plus, icash Pay, EasyWallet, O'Pay, GAMA PAY, and iPASS MONEY which were available last year, JKO Pay has been newly added, providing the public with more options to easily complete their tax declarations and payments.
The National Taxation Bureau specifically reminded the public that it will not notify citizens by phone, SMS, or email to operate ATMs for tax payment, nor will it actively provide links to tax payment websites. The public must stay highly alert and never input personal information or credit card numbers to avoid being scammed. (Editor: Lin Ke-lun) 1150423
