(CNA Reporter Kao Hua-chien, Taipei, 23rd) The Ministry of Interior's National Land Management Agency (NLMA) stated today that the MOI has completed the review of Nantou County's spatial planning functional zoning map. Currently, apart from Taipei City and Taoyuan City, 20 municipalities nationwide have completed their spatial planning functional zoning map review operations.
The NLMA issued a press release stating that the MOI held the 48th meeting of the National Spatial Planning Deliberation Committee today to deliberate on the "Nantou County Spatial Planning Functional Zoning Map (Draft)," discussing the revised outcomes submitted by the Nantou County Government based on the ad hoc committee's review comments.
The NLMA noted that regarding issues such as handling isolated plots of land that do not meet the criteria for national conservation areas, rural settlement units, and category 2-3 urban-rural development areas, the county government has addressed them according to general national designation criteria and Nantou County's local characteristics. The entire plan was approved in principle.
The NLMA stated that the MOI's Spatial Planning Deliberation Committee has completed the review work for the spatial planning functional zoning maps of 20 municipalities and counties nationwide. They are currently verifying and confirming the revised outcomes of the maps submitted by the municipalities and counties for final approval by the Ministry. The agency urges the remaining county and city governments that have yet to submit their drafts for review or have completed the review but not yet submitted the final revised outcomes to actively process this statutory spatial planning work to guide the rational use of land and fulfill the spirit of national sustainability.
