Iranian Media Reports Capital Air Defense System Activated, US Crude Oil Futures Surge in Response

(CNA, Tehran, 23rd, Comprehensive Foreign Dispatch) Iranian state media reported that enemy aerial activity was reported in some areas of the capital Tehran, and air defense systems were activated tonight. According to AFP, the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) stated that "the sound of air defense systems firing" was heard in western Tehran.

Iran's Nour News also stated that air defense systems had been activated in some areas of Tehran, but did not explain the reason or report any incidents.
