(CNA, Reporter Lu Kang-hui, Hsinchu City, 23rd) The Hsinchu City Environmental Protection Bureau stated that it has recently been promoting the "Public Toilet QR Code Evaluation" mechanism. Citizens can instantly evaluate and report conditions by scanning a designated QR code. Through digital tools, citizens become environmental management partners, jointly safeguarding the city's toilet quality.
The Hsinchu City Environmental Protection Bureau issued a press release today stating that since the introduction of the citizen instant reporting and monitoring mechanism, over a thousand reports have been received from last year up to the end of March this year. Among them, 116 involved items requiring improvement. The evaluation system can accurately track the time and location of problems, shortening repair times.
The Bureau pointed out that a promotional event was held recently at the city's Dananya Park, with over 200 citizens participating in simulation exercises. Citizens can instantly provide feedback on indicators such as cleanliness, equipment integrity, and odor, transforming their restroom experience into a basis for improvement.
The Bureau expressed that environmental maintenance relies not only on cleaning personnel but also on citizens practicing good toilet culture. In the future, it will continue to optimize the management system and use evaluation scores as a basis for policy adjustments. If citizens find issues, they can immediately scan the exclusive QR code to report them, working together to create a clean, comfortable, and friendly livable public space.
