(CNA Reporter Wang Chen-chung, Taipei, 23rd) Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu today met with Marie Louise Hannan, Representative of the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei. Han stated that Canada possesses excellent conditions in all aspects and is deeply loved by the Taiwanese people. In the future, the Legislative Yuan will continue to cooperate with the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei based on the existing foundation to jointly promote the continuous deepening of Taiwan-Canada relations.
Han Kuo-yu received the delegation led by Marie Louise Hannan, Representative of the "Canadian Trade Office in Taipei," this morning. Hannan mentioned that this is her second posting to Taiwan, and the purpose of this visit is to express gratitude for the Legislative Yuan's long-standing support of Taiwan-Canada relations, hoping to continue expanding and deepening exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two sides in the future.
Han Kuo-yu pointed out that Canada has excellent conditions in various aspects and is deeply loved by the people of Taiwan. Going forward, the Legislative Yuan will build upon the established foundation to continuously collaborate with the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei to jointly push for a deeper Taiwan-Canada relationship.
The Legislative Yuan stated that during the meeting, both sides also extensively exchanged views on international situations, domestic political conditions, educational exchanges, and the promotion of agricultural and pharmaceutical cooperation between Taiwan and Canada.
