(CNA Reporters Wang Hung-kuo, Huang Hsu-sheng, Tsao Ya-yen, New Taipei, 23rd) The race for the New Taipei City mayoral election is heating up over the youth vote. Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidate Su Chiao-hui proposed youth policies; Kuomintang (KMT) candidate Lee Shu-chuan played with "Old Sichuan" homophone memes on social media; and Taiwan People's Party (TPP) candidate Huang Kuo-chang showcased vitality by campaigning on a bicycle.

Today, Su Chiao-hui released an AI-generated animation on social media to announce her youth policies. She stated that for the city's 1.12 million youth citizens, she will propose four major youth support programs covering "Knowledge Support," "Funding Support," "Space Support," and "Physical and Mental Support."

Su Chiao-hui stated that to become a strong backing for youth citizens, she first plans to establish a "One-Stop Micro-Entrepreneurship Accelerator" and introduce a "Career Mentor System." Second, she will increase the interest-free quota for young farmers, raise rewards for professional technical talents, and subsidize micro-enterprises to adopt digital tools like smart logistics and positioning systems, making small companies more competitive.

She said her third policy, "Space Support," includes plans to revitalize idle spaces and urban renewal feedback spaces, transforming them into youth innovation spaces or "digital nomad bases." Finally, "Physical and Mental Support" includes implementing a "Workplace Micro-Exercise Plan" to encourage employees to exercise during work breaks, and proposing a "Mental Health Support 3 Plus 3 Program" to perfect the psychological safety net.

Besides promoting campaign videos shot during canvassing on his Facebook community, Lee Shu-chuan's team also launched a "Threads" account today to strengthen interaction with young people, playfully using homophone memes.

Lee Shu-chuan previously used the meme "Hua Cui" (slippery and crispy) near the Huacui Bridge to emphasize his rich service experience at both ends of the bridge. Today, he publicly shared his initial reaction to netizens labeling him "Old Sichuan" (Lao Sichuan). He laughed and said, "Old Sichuan? Isn't that a hotpot restaurant? It's delicious," showing a side different from his usual serious, problem-solving engineering image.

Huang Kuo-chang stated on Facebook that the polls for the KMT-TPP cooperation for the New Taipei mayoral race are currently underway. Today and tomorrow, he will take to the streets on a bicycle to canvass for votes, making a final push before the polls to win public support.

According to his public itinerary, Huang Kuo-chang started riding his bicycle from Xizhi in the morning, riding all the way from Jinshan to Tamsui and Bali. Tomorrow morning, he will start from the Zhulin Mountain Guanyin Temple in Linkou, proceeding along Luzhou, Xinzhuang, Yingge, Tucheng, Yonghe, and other areas, and is expected to arrive at the New Taipei City Government around 5 PM.
