(Central News Agency reporter Li Chien-chung, Nagoya, 23rd) The 2026 Nagoya Asian Games will not build a new athletes' village, instead using three forms of accommodation: cruise ships at the pier, prefabricated container houses, and hotels to accommodate athletes and delegations. Today, the organizing committee also opened the container houses for inspection by visiting delegations; they are designed for three people per room with all-wood interiors.

Because the interior of the container houses still needs fine-tuning and the entire environment is still under construction, although it was opened today to the visiting Asian Games delegation from Taiwan, photography and video recording were strictly prohibited throughout the tour.

According to information provided by the Asian Games organizing committee, there are about 400 container rooms in the Garden Pier area. They adopt a U-shaped double-sided connection design, with each side having the same layout, containing one toilet, one shower, and two rooms, designed to accommodate 3 people.

The furnishings inside the container house are simple, featuring one air conditioner, one washing machine, and a safe. The single bed design is approximately 190 cm × 90 cm. A representative of the organizing committee mentioned, 'Although there is only one air conditioner, because it is built with pure wood that absorbs cool air, there is no need to worry about the cooling function even in September.'

In addition to the 400 container houses, the entire Garden Pier area also includes a restaurant, medical clinic, athletes' social area, gym, venue transfer station, and office areas for various national Olympic committees. The Nagoya Asian Games will open on September 19. (Editor: Li Heng-shan) 1150423
