Although the index pulled back slightly, it still closed up 273.36 points at 37,878.47 points, setting a new closing record. The turnover value was approximately 947.64 billion TWD. Leading the charge, MediaTek (2454) closed at its limit up price of 2,295 TWD, while the stock king Aspeed (5274) surged to a new high of 16,495 TWD before closing at 16,085 TWD. Electronic stocks rose by 0.88%, and the semiconductor index rose by 0.77%. Analysts attribute this rally to the explosion in demand for HPC and edge AI devices.
