(CNA, Washington 22nd) The "New York Post" reported today, citing an unnamed Pakistani source and US President Donald Trump, that the second round of negotiations between the United States and Iran may take place within the next three days.
Pakistan previously mediated the first round of US-Iran talks, and sources from the country stated that the second round of meetings is "expected to be held in (the Pakistani capital) Islamabad within the next 36 to 72 hours."
Reportedly, when asked about the above statement, Trump told the New York Post via text message: "It's possible!"
Yesterday, as the two-week US-Iran ceasefire was about to expire, Trump announced an extension of the ceasefire.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), the Pakistani digital news media "News Post" also claimed there would be more talks within three days but did not cite sources or provide further details. (Translated by: Yang Chao-yen) 1150422
