TAIPEI (CNA) — The Executive Yuan has appointed four CEC commissioners, including new Chairman You Ying-lung, with the handover ceremony scheduled for April 27. Sources indicate that the upcoming commission meetings will ratify the replacement of several legislators and discuss the administrative lawsuit filed by Li Zhenxiu, a former People's Party candidate.

The handover ceremony is planned for 9:00 AM on April 27, with Cabinet Secretary-General Chang Tun-han presiding. The commission is also expected to review bond amounts for candidates in the year-end local elections and discuss a citizen-initiated referendum regarding a ban on the production and sale of fur products.

Regarding the controversy surrounding Li Zhenxiu, a Chinese spouse whose legislator eligibility was questioned due to nationality issues, the commission will focus on her recent legal action. Li was expelled from the People's Party and stripped of her at-large seat eligibility, after which Xu Zhong-xin was appointed as her replacement. Li has since filed a lawsuit against the CEC and the Legislative Yuan to challenge her removal.
